NEW: HOW TO MAKE CURVED BEAMS

YOU CAN MAKE ANY DEPTH OR LENGTH OF CURVED BEAMS

EXTERIOR WINDOWS AND DOORWAYS

IF YOU USE HAMMER LOCK PLATES AT THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THESE BEAMS AND YOU FOLLOW THE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS LISTED BELOW.

HAMMER LOCK CURVED BEAMS CAN BE MADE ON SITE BY THE BUILDER.

  1. Draw the curve of the beam onto the ground.
  2. Link the Hammer Lock Plates together for the lower plate.
  3. Hammer lock the plates together for the lower plate.
  4. Do the same for the top plate, but reverse this end for end.
  5. Use 18 gauge or thicker galv steel plates for each side of the beam.
  6. Use short steel or timber studs in between these sides.
  7. Screw the Hammer Lock side tabs plate holes through the side plates through the steel side plates and into the short studs for both the top and bottom Hammer Lock Plate preformed plates.
  8. The resulting strong curved strong beams have to be screwed to the double side studs to ensure they will take the loading above.
